Gift cards in Kenya are the silent essential — they unlock services that do not accept Kenyan cards (ChatGPT, Claude, Netflix, Steam, PSN, App Store, Google Play). Most buyers want a specific use, not a generic card. These are the conversations we have.
Apple gift cards work for any Apple service (App Store, iCloud, Apple Music, AppleCare, Apple TV+). Steam gift cards work for PC games and Steam Wallet. PSN cards work for PlayStation. Xbox / Microsoft cards work for Xbox and Microsoft Store. These are not interchangeable — gifting an Apple card to a PlayStation user is a wasted purchase.
Most gift cards (Steam, Netflix, Spotify, PSN, Xbox) are delivered automatically to your email seconds after your payment is confirmed. Apple gift cards are the exception — supplier-side processing can take up to 5 minutes, and WhatsApp follow-up is available if there is a delay. You never have to come to the showroom for a gift card.
Gift cards are region-locked to the recipient's account country. A US Apple card cannot be redeemed on a Kenyan Apple ID; a UK Steam card cannot top up a Kenyan Steam wallet (in most cases). We default to the recipient's country, but if you are gifting to family or friends abroad, tell us upfront and we ship the right region.
Skip the gift card if (a) the recipient does not already use the service — "Apple gift card" to someone on Android is a wasted purchase, (b) the service already accepts M-Pesa or a Kenyan card directly — paying it directly avoids the gift-card retail margin, or (c) the recipient has explicitly asked for cash — a gift card with a 5–10% retail margin is worse than cash on M-Pesa.
