How to redeem your Nintendo eShop Card (Italy)
On your Nintendo Switch or at https://ec.nintendo.com/redeem: open the Nintendo eShop → 'Redeem Code' → enter the 16-character code. Your Nintendo account region must be set to Italy.

Switch is the console we sell most often as a gift in Kenya — birthdays, Christmas, end-of-school-term. Buyers usually know the brand but not the variants, and the wrong pick at gifting time is hard to undo. These are the patterns we walk every gift buyer through.
Switch 2 (the 2025 model) is the future-proof buy if budget allows — 1080p handheld, 4K docked, all current and future first-party support. OLED is the still-excellent 2021 model with a brilliant handheld screen but no 4K dock. The original Switch is now a budget option suitable for kids under 10 or as a second handheld. For a one-Switch household in 2026, we usually recommend the Switch 2.
Stick drift hits Joy-Cons between 12 and 18 months of moderate use. Nintendo's official repair path in Kenya is impractical (ship to Europe, weeks of turnaround). The realistic fix is replacement. Most serious Switch households end up with two pairs of Joy-Cons inside a year — gift one alongside the console and avoid the disappointment later.
Unlike PS5 or Xbox, Switch physical cartridges retain strong second-hand value in Kenya — Mario Kart, Zelda BOTW/TOTK, Smash Bros are all near-cost to resell two years later. If you buy a Switch, lean towards physical cartridges for the marquee titles; download the smaller indies. The same logic does not apply to digital downloads, which lock to the buying account.
The base Switch storage fills within 5–10 game downloads. A 256GB or 512GB microSD card is KSh 4,000–8,000 in Nairobi and transforms what the console can hold. We stock UHS-I cards rated for Switch and will help you migrate existing games. Buy this on day one — it is the single best upgrade for the money.
Your code is emailed automatically within seconds of payment — keep it private and redeem it yourself.
Skip Switch if (a) the buyer is primarily a competitive online gamer — Switch online infrastructure is the weakest of the three platforms, (b) the buyer mostly plays third-party AAA titles like Call of Duty, FIFA or GTA — those land late, look worse, or skip Switch entirely, or (c) the buyer already has a powerful gaming PC. Switch shines for Nintendo first-party titles and the portable form factor — buy it for that, not as a do-everything console.
