A Steam Wallet code is the easiest way for a Kenyan PC gamer to pay on Steam without an international card. You buy the code with M-Pesa, it arrives by email in seconds, and the credit lands in your Steam Wallet ready to spend. Here is exactly how it works.

What a Steam Wallet code buys

Steam Wallet credit works like money inside Steam. Use it for PC games, DLC, in-game items and software — anything on the world's biggest PC gaming store. It is the simplest top-up for Kenyan gamers who don't have a Visa or Mastercard set up for international payments.

How to buy a Steam gift card with M-Pesa

Open the Steam gift card page on iTey Store and pick your amount (from KSh 2,400).
Pay with M-Pesa — Visa, Mastercard and bank transfer also work, all in shillings.
Your wallet code is emailed to you, usually within seconds of payment.

How to redeem a Steam Wallet code

Open the Steam app (or go to store.steampowered.com/account/redeemwalletcode) and sign in.
Enter your wallet code. The credit is added to your Steam Wallet instantly.
Spend it at checkout on any game, DLC or item.

A quick note on currency

Steam Wallet credit is held in a currency. For the smoothest experience, use a code that matches the currency your Steam account already uses. If you are unsure which to buy, message us before paying and we will point you to the right one.

Troubleshooting

"This code is not valid": re-type it carefully — wallet codes are long and easy to mistype. Copy and paste straight from the email.
Code already used: codes are single-use. Redeem yours right away and keep it private — if you are gifting it, send it only to the person receiving it.
